Then he transferred toTallahassee Community College in Florida.

Since fall 2016, he has been a Gastonia Grizzlies outfielder with yet another transfer toUNC-Charlotte. But he also received news that the Minnesota Twins selected him in the 12th round of the MLB Draft. This made Featherstone the 383rd overall pick. OnJune 23, 2016, Featherstone signed with the Minnesota Twins after signing with the Gastonia Grizzlies a day before. He signed for$100,000.
